ABOUT THE HOTEL
There are nine tents two of which are family tents. All tents have terraces overlooking the Talek river and en-suite bathrooms with flush loos and safari showers.Lighting is by a solar powered inverter in the tents and kerosene lanterns are situated in front of the tents to provide subtle lighting of the exterior and front.Double Tent: Each tent has en-suite bathroom with a flush loo and hot shower.Family Tent: 2 family tents each with three beds, also having an en-suite bathroom with hot shower and flushing loo
Spaced well apart along the river, Rekero's nine south-facing tents stand in cleared bush in the shade of thick forest, with views over the normally shallow waters of the Talek to the wooded banks on the far side and the plains of the Sekenani sector. The camp is perfectly located for guests to experience every aspect of the Maasai Mara wilderness. Wildlife viewing and bird watching can be done by specially adapted vehicles or outside the park on foot. Sharing the cultural aspect of Maasai Mara life with guests.This is a highly personal experience that the guides operate with sensitivity to ensure it remains both unobtrusive and genuine. Picnics in the bush and sundowners also feature along with dawn flights in a hot air balloon (additional cost).
