ABOUT THE HOTEL
Accommodations consist of 20 individual tree houses with en suite bathrooms. The tree houses are actually constructed on platforms and stilts built around (not directly on) individual baobab and marula trees. The tree houses range from 8 to 20 feet off the ground and they are spaced throughout the property in a haphazard fashion. The rooms are accessed via a small spiral staircase at the base of each tree that leads up to the platform or deck. With a floor space over 65 square meters, they offer some of the largest rooms in all of East Africa.
Each of the 20 suites or treehouses at Tarangire Treetops is perched in a stand of impressive baobabs. These are raised on extraordinarily high stilts, literally in the treetops. From this elevated position, the gauze-fronted rooms and fabulous wrap-around decks afford incredible views across the surrounding bush.
